The Pépinière and St. Lazare
Horse Shows are
recognized member shows of the
Canadian Equestrian Federation and are governed by the National Rules of the Federation.

Stalls
Stall orders must be received by
Friday, April 30, 2009
This will be strictly enforced.
1 week stay = $150.
All stall orders are to be pre-paid and are non-refundable. There is a surcharge of $20.00
per stall for all late orders (you must pay your stall fees before
April 30
to avoid this fee), and late orders will not be guaranteed placement.

Payment of Entries
Full payment, by cheque, must accompany the entry form. Cheque to be made payable to:
Compétitions Eastwood Equine Inc (CEE Inc).

Accounts
Can be left open during the horse show with a signed open cheque. All stables or individual
exhibitors who wish to use an open cheque must be approved by the show management. No
charges or changes will be allowed during the show without an open account.

Numbers
No number will be issued to anyone who has not paid or left an open cheque at the time the
number is picked up. A refundable $5 deposit will be required for numbers.

NSF Payments
A $50 charge will be assessed on all cheques returned for any reason.

Scratches
A horse that is scratched from the show prior to the start of the first class entered in
will forfeit a $25 office fee. After first day, no refunds unless a Horse Show veterinarian
issues a certificate.
There is a Grand Prix
Scratch fee of $100, which
is levied if you scratch
your class after the class
begins (ie. you have walked
the course).

Entry Changes
Class adds/scratches can only be made in the Horse Show Office on the Official Form, by
letter or by Facsimile and must be received prior to the start of the class. Any other
method will not be considered valid.
Adds
Class adds will be charged a $5 fee per class in addition to class entry fee only if adding
on the day of a class. There is no additional fee to add prior to the day of a class. Day
of ads may require the exhibitor to work first in the order of go.
Entered and Did Not Compete
Any exhibitor who does not compete in a class(es) in which the exhibitor is officially
entered and does not scratch according to the Scratch Procedures outlined above, will be billed for
the class(es). You MUST do your paperwork in the Show Office in order to avoid this penalty.
Not Entered and DID Compete:
Horses shown in a class without being officially entered will pay a $25 penalty plus the
class fee. You MUST do your paperwork in the Show Office in order to avoid this penalty.

Prize Money
Will be paid in the office when accounts are settled.

Exhibitors from outside Quebec do not need to join FÉQ unless trying to qualify for
year-end awards.
Passports, EC and FÉQ numbers: (Quebec exhibitors) NO ENTRY WILL BE ACCEPTED THAT
DOES NOT INCLUDE THE ABOVE.

Every class offered herein which is covered by the Rules and Specifications of the
EC. Rule
Book will be conducted and which further reserves the right to cancel, postpone, change or
re-schedule any class or condition they deem advisable. The Horse Show Committee has the
right to cancel any section or class with insufficient entries.

There will be a grounds fee. Exhibitors will be charged $10 automatically on entry.
-
As a Class 1A to 7 recognized national
EC Hunter/Jumper competition, the
Pépinière and St. Lazare
Horse Shows will be remitting fees of $10 per horse
entered in the hunter/jumper divisions to the Jump Canada Board in order to support their
developmental programs. These funds will be used as follows:

60% Hunter, Young Rider and Domestic programs.

35% National and International Teams
-
5% Administration including Publicity and Public Relations.

The levy is supported by the
EC and failure to participate may lead to suspension of
membership
-
Nomination Fees:
ALL jumper classes (except the Young Horse Jumper series) will be charged a NOMINATION Fee
of $100.
There will be a Grand Prix
Nomination fee of $100.
Declarations are due by noon
the day before the class.

All dogs must be on a leash
at all times. Owners of
loose dogs will be charged a
$75 fee to retrieve their
pets.

Non-Showing Horse:
A Non-Showing horse is required to pay the stall fee and a $75 Non-Showing Fee. Any
Non-Showing Horse who ultimately enters classes and competes is considered a post entry.

All horses must have a valid
2008 coggins.
-
Day Stalls
Day Stalls can be purchased for $75. They can be occupied from 6 am to 6 pm. Any other time
frame is a regular stall fee.
Day stalls are subject to availability and will not be
guaranteed in advance.

A 24 hour rule will be
imposed for the Grand Prix.
All Grand Prix riders must
present their horses at the
office between 12 and 1 the
prior day.

Vehicles:
All vehicles must be parked
in designated areas only.
There is no parking on the
roads or in the barn areas
at any time. All
motorized vehicles including
golf carts, scooters, dirt
bikes, 4-wheelers, etc may
be operated by
Licensed Drivers Only.

No Smoking:
There will be no smoking
allowed in the stabling
areas or food tent.

Check Out
All open account charges
remaining at the end of each
show will be automatically
applied to the open cheque.
Any mistakes at check out
must be resolved with horse
show office within 72 hours.
After 72 hours, issues can
not be amended.

Article G403 Pre Green Hunter (EC rule book)
- A pre-green hunter is a horse of any age that is in its first two consecutive years of showing over fences.
- A first-year pre-green horse is on that has not competed in an EC sanctioned national, provincial competition in any classes requiring the entry to jump prior to January 1st of the current year, excepting horses which have jumped an obstacle to demonstrate obedience such as hack, dressage, trail horses or in classes where the height of the fences does not exceed 2'9" (0.85m)
- Fence heights:
- First year: 0.90m (3'). Horses may not cross enter into classes with fences at 1.00m (3'3")
- Second year: 1.00m (3'3"). Horses may not cross enter into classes with fences at 1.10m (3'6")
- Horses currently showing First Year Green are not eligible and a first year green horse may never revert to pre-green status.
- Pre-green horses may not be reinstated.
- Competing in combined training events at the training level will result in elimination from pre-green status.
- First and Second Year Pre Green must be shown in two consecutive years.

COURSE:
The over fences phase shall be
over a special course of at
least ten fences 3’6” (1.10m) to
3’9” (1.15m) in height with
spreads to 5’ (1.52m). The
course must include a double and
a triple combination with at
least on spread fence in each.
Two other spread fences are
required elsewhere on the
course. A liverpool is
mandatory. The course should be
more difficult than a regular
horsemanship class and of the
type used in junior jumper
classes. A time allowed must be
established based upon 350
meters per minute.
FLAT PHASE:
During the flat phase, not more
than 30 riders at one time will
show as a group at the working
walk, the working trot sitting,
the working trot rising and
showing a lengthening of stride,
the working canter and the
working canter showing a
lengthening of stride. All
riders being considered for an
award shall be required to show
the working canter on both
counter leads for at least one
full revolution of the arena.
Not more than 12 shall counter
canter at one time.
JUDGING:
a) The over fences phase to be
conducted under current EC
jumper rules. b) Time faults
penalized one (1) penalty point
for every four (4) commenced
seconds over the time allowed.
c) In addition, the class will
be judged on seat, hand,
guidance and control of the
horse. d) Judges may require
additional tests and are not
confined to those tests listed

Prize money will be awarded to the best 3 riders of the tour. Riders accumulate points by
participating in designated qualification classes of the circuit. No restriction regarding
number of classes or number of shows.
Before each class, riders having more than one horse in a designated class must nominate the
one whose points they want to count for the class. All horses must be entered the day prior to
the class. The QPET points will be calculated according to your place on the judge's
card.
